Joshua Kane Gomes (b.1993, Malaysia) is an artist known for his introspective sculptures and installations that explore the intersection of the rational and sentimental aspects of human relationships. His practice focuses on captured moments of vulnerability, leveraging the art-making process to foster conversations often reserved for private settings.
Joshua has participated internationally and locally in group exhibitions such as Art Basel Hong Kong (2023), Art Jakarta (2022), The Foot Beneath The Flower (2020) at NTU ADM Gallery, Singapore, EMERGING (2020) at The Private Museum, Singapore, as well as solo exhibitions such as Violent Delights (2024), These Things We Do (2019), and most recently, The After-party (2024) with A+ Works of Art, Malaysia.
Joshua was also awarded the 2023 Khazanah Nasional Associate Artist Residency, a 12-week residency programme at Acme Studios, London, England.
